The most special thing that I can take away from The Office and its finale is that I can realize that things come to an end. There’s a finality with the series, jobs and relationships. Life is meant to move on and to be catapulted into the next phase.
I’ve been an avid fan of the show for years now. Between The Sopranos and The Office I had a special connection with the two television series. One had a serious tone based on the bond of family and protecting your best interests, the other filled me with laughter and gave my life comic relief when I was stressed. They are both officially over now and I won’t have anything new from these characters or story lines. The important part as an audience member is to accept it. Cherish the memories, the stories, and smiles.
As The Office has ended, so will my dedication to being a television fanatic. I have goals in life that I want to achieve and I thank the show for adding a couple of different small touches on my personality. Now it’s time to become my own man, and within the next few months the dreams can be achieved.
Until then I better get some rest, tomorrow will be long and hard. And yes, that’s what she said.
Dwight: I can’t believe you came.Michael: That’s what she said.
